The Smell of Success.

So... The answer to your financial freedom is right under your nose. ...at least, it could be. The question is: Are we looking right under our nose?

Often we are equipped, and even passionate about something that is right in front of us, but we may have never imagined earning a living with it.

What are you really good at? What are your natural talents? What do get fulfillment from doing?

In some ways we are programmed to believe that work is supposed to be a drudgery. There is no "supposed to" about it. It's fairly clear that it's what we make of it. We can "know" this, but still be too paralyzed to do anything. It's usually just FEAR Factor. Courage is not the absence of fear. Courage could not exist unless it was preceeded by fear.

Most folks, when in their final days, are asked, "What would you have liked to do differently?", answer with the wish that they had taken a few more risks in life. (They also don't usually wish that they had worked harder!)

Make sure to catch yourself if you are playing it too safe! Of course, I'm not suggesting to be careless and uncalculated about your actions..... But, don't sell yourself short, either.

A word of caution: Don't buy yourself a job. Being the owner isn't always glamorous.....In fact, it's usually not. Especially if it ties you to an operation 24/7/365! It's nice to be wanted, and needed, but not that much. It's important to define "success" in advance. It's not always extreme revenues, if what we're after is a manageable, enjoyable lifestyle where we can strategically getaway from the "work" once in a while.

I believe we have these thoughts for business ideas for a reason. Have you ever had a business idea, or even an invention, only to see it put to market by someone else who had the guts to do it? The ideas are landing on you because you are open to them...... and they will "land" on other people until somebody takes action. These are ideas whose time has come.

Remember, it's ok to experience some 'failure'... in fact, if you don't, you're probably not taking enough risks.....but it's more pleasant to call it "feedback", learn from it, and adjust accordingly.

So, what's right under your nose? Consider the talents, gifts and resources that have already been laid at your feet.
