Don't Dilute the Message

I've had colleagues whose lengthy emails are laughed about behind their backs. In fact, the emails are dreaded by their recipients. But most importantly, they do not get completely read, the main message is lost, diluted and the senders credibility can be damaged.
- Be brief. Use plain language.
- Remove redundant or unneeded words, even sentences.
- Keep it "above the line" and to one page. Nobody wants to scroll.
- Use BOLD and bullet points to make your main message or action items and deadlines easy to find.
