Beyond the numbers

It's interesting how our minds try to make sense out of things.

When I was 9 years old I was pretty sure I was figuring out the order of the universe. People who's phone number began with the 388 telephone prefix had issues... Their parents may be divorced, the kids may have been bullies, there was a lack of harmony in the home.... On the other hand, people with 383 prefixes had nice, loving families and were blessed in some way. God smiled upon them. I was glad to know the secret, and I understood why my family was a 383.

Obviously these rules would apply to different sets of numbers in different geographic areas.... And it wasn't driven by one specific set of circumstances but a combination of variables...... I mean the mailing address and the color of car must play into it as well.

It became even more difficult to figure out when my dad left when I was 10.

Would we change our phone number?

Not at first..... What did that mean..... Maybe the universe takes time to adjust....

Eventually it became 924. The other option was 927 but I didn't know the rules in this new town.

Was I, now, just like the 388's of my old town? There must be order. And there is.... But it's beyond the numbers.

The pond in Vermont was amazing...  as usual.  We had great weather.  It just went quickly.
